Rev. Bryson "Gene" Bell, pastor of First Reformed Church, an EA congregation in Bluffton, IN, recently released a CD entitled, "A Tribute to Mount Zion."

The CD, Rev. Bell states, is a "Southern Gospel tribute to the people of the church where I grew up, and the songs and hymns which left an impression on my life."

The CD, released in October 2009, is dedicated to the members of Rev. Bell's home church, Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Gadsden, Alabama which closed it's doors in November 2007.  Rev. Bell notes that the church's closing "was a sad time in my life personally because of all the fond memories I have of growing up within those walls.  When I began to think about all the past years of having a great church, I thought of this project... a project that will help to pass on our faith as it was passed on to me."

"It is my prayer that this CD, and the songs you find on it, will be a blessing to you in many ways.  May you be encouraged and your faith strengthened in knowing that these songs affirm the faith of our predecessors that have been passed on to us, and may we now take the torch of faith and allow it to burn brightly in our own hearts and lives..."
