EA Churches Give Christmas Helping Hand
That's what happened to Living Faith Christian Community, the EA's new church start in Spencerville, OH. The pioneer church didn't have a budget to decorate for the Advent/Christmas season. So the congregation looked to sister churches in the Evangelical Association for support.
The churches delivered in a big way! Cross Community Church, Berne, IN, pastored by Rev. Randy Luther, donated a Christmas tree for the sanctuary and St. John's Christian Church, Archbold, OH, pastored by Rev. Erich Christman and Rev. Adam Just, donated a Christmas tree for the fellowship hall and a ton of other decorations.
In addition, Emmanuel's Christian Church, New Bavaria, OH pastored by Rev. Ed. Briggeman and Bethel-St. Paul Church, Louisville, KY pastored by Rev. Jeff Siems, delivered unexpected love offerings that helped the infant congregation pay heating bills over the holidays.
Rev. Ron Shifley, pastor of Living Faith Christian Community, expresses his gratitude and that of the congregation for all of the love and support received from sister churches in the Evangelical Association.
Churches helping churches build up the Kingdom: that is what the EA is all about!
