Renew your EA membership for 2010
It is time for pastors, churches and individuals to renew their membership with the Evangelical Association for 2010, notes Rev. Jim Barnes, EA National Minister.
One of the stated purposes of the EARCCC is to “unite churches of the Evangelical, Reformed, Congregational and Christian heritage” as we “network together to further the cause of our Lord Jesus Christ.” That means the Evangelical Association exists to provide a positive environment for connecting those who share a common heritage as together we carry on the work of the Kingdom beyond the constraints often imposed by denominational structures. As I often say to people who ask me why the church I serve joined the Evangelical Association, “We wanted to remain connected with our ‘spiritual family’ even as our congregation ended its denominational affiliation and became an independent church.”
During the course of the last decade, the EARCCC has expanded so that our “family” now includes pastors, churches and individuals from a wide range of traditions and backgrounds extending even beyond those of the Evangelical, Reformed, Congregational and Christian church heritage. As an “association” of Christians, we come together around a shared belief in scriptural authority, a statement of convictions that upholds biblical truth in a culture that constantly challenges us to compromise and a desire to work together for the advancement of the Gospel. Like any healthy family, the EARCCC has matured and become a diverse group of believers who love the Lord - who love His truth - and who love the sweet fellowship that transcends all racial and cultural boundaries as we seek first His Kingdom - so we hope you will consider joining with us in 2010!
If you are not yet a member of the Evangelical Association, I would invite you to explore this exciting new way to connect Christians in the twenty-first century. Feel free to contact me if you would like more information regarding how to establish your affiliation with the EARCCC.
